Music Production

I have hit a wall, I have not been able to produce anything!! Whenever I go to make a song, I just open renoise play with some samples until I find something interesting... then an hour later I just think "fuck this" then close it. Even though I am a beginner and all, it just frustrates me!  I just wanna be cool! Please god help me, or at least buy me lunch!

I'd suggets taking a step back and forgetting a little if not all that you've learned. There's no pressure in it if you feel like you're just starting out and that you have nothing to live up to. :P

Agreed, some can refocus better after taking a brief vacation.

Learn to play someone else's song. Youtube is great resource for tutorials and how-to's for the keyboard. Learning to use techniques that others have used will always give you inspiration.

I understand how you feel. I think the trick for me is whenever I hit a wall on anything is remembering to take baby steps, and not trying to read the entire library of congress in one weekend.. Good luck on your music man!

Think its time to invent a new genre if the current ones are holding you back and making you hit walls :D as i always say Blame everyone else first.

Hey man, I'm pretty much at the same point. Beginner. Don't know if my advices are really worth but do keep it up. Eat some youtube tutorials, I mean watch a whole lot of them, try to listen to music differently, analyse any drum pattern, any melody you can ear. Start a song, and keep working on it, finish it even if it's crap. Try to see why it's crap and take our next production to another level.

The more I try to make music, the more I like it. But each time I realize even more how far I am from making something good and all the things I have to learn. But just go for it man.
